Hi, I run Mud Maps 3 on an iPad Pro 2 12.9". When I press the arrow (in the centre of the bottom row of icons) I get a dialogue box that says, "Your location is being determined, please wait." Unfortunately, nothing happens. Mud Maps does not determine my location and the dialogue box stays on the screen. Please help!

Unfortunately, Wifi only iPads do not have a built in GPS receiver, which is used by mapping apps to determine your location while offline. If it's a new iPad purchased within 2 weeks, Apple can exchange it for a Wifi+Celluar version. You just pay the price difference. Another option is to buy a 3rd party iPad GPS receivers are available from ebay for around $100.

No Li, my iPad Pro is the wifi plus cellular version. There is something wrong with Mud Maps 3 on this device. Also, I checked out the GPS coordinates of several campsites by going to the websites for those campsites and I discovered that the coordinates are different from the coordinates in Mud Maps 3.

I also has the same problem with Mud Maps 2 on an iPad Air wifi plus cellular device. Please investigate and get back to me. Or, please arrange a refund because the programme clearly is dangerous by misleading me on my trips!

I have tested mum maps 3 against two other map programmes on friends devices and the coordinates for locations in mud maps were different from the coordinates of the other two devices, which agreed with each other. I am increasingly worried that something is fundamentally wrong with mud maps! I am also concerned that you assumed that I did to have a cellular iPad, without even asking me.

Hi Laurence, Go to device settings > privacy > location > make sure Mud Map 3 is set to "Always"

    Hi Li,

Thank you - that has solve the “my location” problem. It was set to “When the app is in use” or something worded similarly. I’ll test the coordinates of some locations as soon as I get a chance at let you know how it goes. Many thanks, Laurie.
