Refund on Mud Maps V3 App for VMS customers, but what about the Maps purchased?

In reference to the announcement 'Road Map of the future of MUD MAP and VMS apps.' at

Last month I downloaded Mud Maps App for the Apple iPad.
I then purchase $120.00 of maps (including the relevant Gregory's and iTOPO maps) from you to cover all of Tasmania and most of the Easternside of Australia.

This month you have released V3 for the iPhone, and are moving away from 4WDing and pushing customers towards the VMS App. I have no issue with this, rather I see it as sensible.

However, the VMS App costs $199.00, and it includes free as part of that many of the maps that last month I spent $120.00 purchasing from you.
You are offering a refund of $59.99 on the V3 Mud Maps App for anyone that purchases VMS, but what about for the maps? These Maps combined actually cost far more than the Mud Maps V3 App? Will you refund to me my already owned Gregory and iTOPO Maps that I will be getting a second licence on when I purchase VMS?

To put it into perspective, if I now spend $199.00 on VMS App for my iPad, I will be $199.00 worse off, and not have any additional maps that I will actually use (I will gain the northern, central and western Australia maps, but since I'm not located there I won't use them).
Alternatively, I could now purchase Memory Map and their Hema Maps for the same price, and have new additional maps.
Where's the incentive for your previous loyal customers that have supported your products throughout their purchases now that you have changed your direction on them?

From our article road map for MUD MAP and VMS

"If you have purchase any of the iTOPO or Gregory’s maps from and would also like to upgrade to VMS, email us the iTunes invoice for the VMS app & the invoice for the maps you purchased & your nominated PayPal account, we’ll credit your map purchases."

What this means that you can purchase the VMS app from the App Store for $199. Then email [email blocked] the invoices of this purchase + invoice for your map purchase (in your case $120) along with your nominated paypal account & we will refund $120 for the iTOPO & Gregory's maps you purchased. So effectively, you are paying $199.99 all up. Then when VMS V3 comes out Aug/Sep, you get the upgrade free.

Thank you for clarifying that Tom. Appreciate it and I appreciate your companies assistance in resolving these issues.

However, FYI - the link in the beginning of your post does not work. And the quote you have provided is not in the article 'Road Map of the future of MUD MAP and VMS apps.' located at , which is the link you provided to me earlier this morning in a separate discussion.

I have found the correct and more recent link to 'Road Map of MUD MAP & VMS apps', it is . It seems to be longer and have more detail than the article on Facebook, and includes the paragraph that you have quoted above.

Both of those links are the same article. One was posted on Facebook, 1 was emailed to all of our customers.
