iTOPO Zone maps compared to area maps?

Apologies, not sure if this should be raised here, or rather with VMS.
I have the VMS app which includes the iTOPO Map Series with all the various Zones covering Australia. However, I notice on the map section, http://www.mud-maps.com/maps , it also lists smaller iTOPO area maps, and these don't seem to have been included with VMS.
E.g. in Tasmania, the iTOPO Zone map is Zone 55, but then there is also iTOPO K5520, K5521, K5522, K5523, K5524 and K5525 area maps.
Are these the same as what is covered in Zone 55? Is there any difference or additional detail? If the VMS App includes all the iTOPO Maps why am I unable to download these?

The zones maps are simply all the smaller maps stitched up into a mosaic which is much better.

So rather than having over 500+ smaller regions, you get few zones. Makes it much more manageable and browsing much easier too.
