Downloading maps for offline use
Downloading Maps with Mud Map HD
Yay, you have just purchased some excellent maps from the Online Map Store. This article explains how to download them into Mud Map HD for offline use.
Step 1: Get the app from iTunes App Store Download Mud Map HD from the App Store.
Step 2: Start the app
Step 3: Sign in to your Account Sign in to your Account from within the app. If you don't have a mud-maps.com account, Click here and register for free.

Step 4: Go to Map Library Downloads
iPhone: MENU > MAP LIBRARY > DOWNLOADS
iPad: MENU > MAP DOWNLOADS
iPhone: If maps do not appear in the list, pull down on the list to refresh.
iPad: If maps do not appear in the list, tap "Refresh Download List"
Step 5: Select maps to download
All the maps that have not been downloaded are selected by default. Unselecting maps by tapping on the tick means unselected maps will not be downloaded.
When ready, tap "Start".
You'll be prompted with an alert informing you of the download size. To proceed, tap "Yes".
NOTE: Only maps that are not installed on the device are shown in the downloads list on the device.
Step 6: Download Progress
Selected titles will now download and automatically install into the device. Some raster maps are large in file size and may take a few minutes or longer depending on size.
Before starting a download, plug your device in for charging and connect to a Wifi network to avoid unnecessary cellular data charges.

Q: I can get to the downloads screen but the "Start" button
A: To prevent unwanted charges, maps over 20mb can only be downloaded over a WiFi network. When the "Start" button doesn't show, connect to a WiFi network and then start the downloads.
Q: How many times can I download a purchased map?
A: As many times as you need, there are now limits on the number of downloads.
